Universal Studio Singapore

Universal Studio Singapore is one of the must-see attractions in Singapore. This place gives a lot of things to offer but I will only point out some worthy catch there as I went there 3 times so yeah, Im quite familiar with them. Ticket is pretty expensive tho, it's SGD 74 (update 14 Nov 2013). But if you r a student, u can get student season pass for SGD 88 valid for 6 months (u can renew it if u want) and no blackouts which means u can go to USS whenever you want; or u can apply for annual pass (valid for 1 year). If u hold that 'pass' u can get 10% off when you buy a ticket for your friend. I needed to pay SGD 66.6 for my friend's ticket last month, quite surprised, I did not know that before. 

Few tips may help:
1. if u see it rains+thunder, don't go that day as many attractions will be closed for safety reason (u don't want to spend lotta money just wandering around the area without riding any)
2. book ur ticket online to avoid the queue or go there early in the morning to beat the queue (the locket opens at 9 am, then the USS itself opens at 10 am)
3. bring water bottle, trust me u'll need it. U can top-up ur bottle inside the USS. Bring cookies coz foods inside quite expensive -for me :)- (the USS guards may not check ur bag so u can escape w/ ur cookies - may not be the case if u bring bulky foods inside ur bag)

4. bring rain coat, because some rides make u wet, like the one in jurassic park (lost world) area -Rapid adventure. U'll need to buy a rain coat of SGD 4, unless u really wish to get wet.
5. If u are going alone, it's easier to beat the queue coz the USS have something like 'special line' for single ride. Just talk to the guard of the ride u want to see "im single rider", they will open the 'single rider line' and u can get into the ride faster

6. Wear ur most comfy clothes and footwear (U'll walk a lot and sweat a lot! it's Singapore!:)

Things worth to see/rides
1. waterworld, it is live action show, and so far for me it is best live show! u can see lot of fire, explosions, water skying techniques. If u want to sit in front (green and blue chair area) prepare urself w/ raincoat, it is the splash zone. The actor won't mind splashing u with buckets of water :D

2. transformer 3D ride. I rode this 4 times and never get bored! Feels like u r really there doing the heroic scene. 


3. rapid adventure, in the lost world area, it's a raft water ride. Tips: put ur bag in the locker around Ancient Egypt coz it's free (locker around Rapid Adventure is not free)

4. Revenge of the mummy, this is indoor roller-coaster. At first I did not know that it was a roller-coaster, so first time I rode it, quite shocked! 


5. Battle Star Galactica, it's the outdoor roller-coaster.  I rode it once, and I want more. Unfortunately, when I write this, it is under maintenance.
